Switch from Fantrax to League Tycoon
Fantrax is highly customizable and supports multiple sports. League Tycoon is the cleaner, more streamlined dynasty-first alternative with a modern mobile app, integrated contract management, and trade auctions. If your league is focused on dynasty fantasy football, here is how to make the switch.
You do not have to rebuild your Fantrax league by hand
League Tycoon imports Fantrax leagues directly. Give it the Secret ID from your Fantrax profile, or a link to the league. The import brings over your rosters, league settings and scoring, future draft picks, team logos, contracts where the source has them, and up to 20 seasons of league history. Past seasons come back as real seasons you can browse week by week, with standings, matchup lineups, playoff brackets, and final standings.
Fantrax exposes salary and contract data, so a Fantrax salary cap league imports with its contracts intact. Fantrax does not expose playoff or waiver configuration, so those two become review items rather than guesses.
How league import worksWhy leagues switch from Fantrax
Fantrax gives you a lot of knobs to turn, and that flexibility works well for multi-sport leagues or formats that need heavy customization. But for dynasty fantasy football specifically, many commissioners find the platform heavier than it needs to be. These are the reasons leagues make the move to League Tycoon.
- ✓Cleaner, modern UX
League Tycoon was designed from scratch for dynasty football. The interface is fast, uncluttered, and easy for every league mate to pick up. - ✓Modern mobile app
A native mobile experience on iOS and Android. No pinch-zooming or navigating desktop layouts on a phone. - ✓Trade auctions built in
Transparent trade auctions with visible offers, anti-sniping timers, and market-driven outcomes. No more backroom deals or trade drama. - ✓Integrated contract management
Salary caps, contracts, dead money, franchise tags, and cap tracking are built into the platform. No spreadsheets, no manual workarounds. - ✓Zero ads included free
Standard dynasty on League Tycoon is ad-free. On Fantrax, removing ads requires a paid subscription. - ✓Dynasty-focused platform
Every feature is built with dynasty leagues in mind. You get tools designed for long-term league management instead of features spread across multiple sports.
What you gain on League Tycoon
Beyond a cleaner day-to-day experience, League Tycoon gives your league access to features that are either unavailable or require workarounds on Fantrax.

Configurable draft lottery system to discourage tanking and keep every team invested.
Step-by-step migration guide
The import handles the parts that used to make this a weekend project. Here is the path.
1. Grab your Fantrax Secret ID
Open your Fantrax profile and copy your Secret ID. A link to the league works too. The offseason is the ideal time to switch since there is no live scoring to worry about.
2. Run the import
In League Tycoon, open Tools, choose Import League, pick Fantrax, and paste the Secret ID or league link. Choose standard dynasty or contract dynasty, and choose how many past seasons to bring over.
3. Review the preview before anything is created
You see every team, roster counts, how many players matched, the settings being mapped, any salary cap scaling, which teams would land over the cap, and anything that will not carry over. Nothing exists until you approve it.
4. Work the post-import checklist
Unmatched players, scoring rules to confirm, contract years and contract rules, and the playoff and waiver settings Fantrax does not expose. Each item deep links to the screen that resolves it.
5. Invite league mates
Share the league invite link. Each league mate claims their own team from a list and sees their roster, contracts, and team logo immediately.
6. Run a test period
Let everyone explore the platform before the season starts. Process a few test trades or waiver claims so people get comfortable with the interface.
7. Go live
Once everyone is set up, your league is running on League Tycoon. Contracts, trades, drafts, scoring, and communication are all in one place.
For salary cap and contract leagues
If your Fantrax league runs a salary cap format with manual contract tracking, the switch to League Tycoon is especially impactful. League Tycoon's contract dynasty format automates everything that commissioners typically manage in spreadsheets: salary caps, contract extensions, franchise tags, dead money, and cap penalties.
You do not have to reprice a single player. The import reads salaries and contract years straight from Fantrax and writes them onto your League Tycoon rosters. From that point forward, the platform handles all cap math, contract expirations, and cap compliance automatically. No more spreadsheet reconciliation at 1 AM on a Tuesday.
Fantrax salary cap leagues often run caps far larger than League Tycoon's 10,000 maximum. Those are scaled by a power of ten rather than clipped, and every salary scales by the same factor, so relative value is preserved exactly. A $300,000,000 cap becomes $3,000 and a $50,000,000 player becomes $500. The preview shows you the scaling, and any teams that would land over the cap, before anything is created.
